A sustainable community is more colorful than simply green; it includes the lively hues of an economically vibrant main streets and neighborhood centers. Our projects help build community on main streets throughout New York State, through design standards for façade improvements, streetscapes, and through projects that are aimed to promote economic development.

Our on-going research on green design standards for urban main streets examines the use of historical façade elements to promote green development, along with preconceptions of main street development and how that sometimes inhibits sustainable alternatives.

We enjoy working on storefronts and Main Street revitalization so much that we decided to open our own storefront online! Please visit THINK STOREFRONT! Many of our products are derived from nineteenth century building ornamentation, such as the terracotta masonry that was the inspiration for our lobby design at 81 Centre. Wall treatments such as these will be the basis of a coming product line!
