This Lefferts Gardens outpost of the popular Park Slope bakery incorporates the companys signature color palette and materials in a fresh, new way. The new location is more than twice as big as the original Blue Sky Bakery, providing a facility for baking not just the delicious muffins but a wider array of baked goods. The project features millwork in natural woods with colorful lacquered metals to create muffin displays, seating, storage, and appealing service counter. A custom-built walnut hardwood interior storefront frames the entrance to the kitchen area and invites customers to watch the bakery in action. Custom lanterns in different sizes and shapes provide illumination visible from Rogers Avenues and Sterling Street. Striped yellow awnings cheerfully welcome neighbors to enjoy the sunny space and delicious muffins within.
